Madsteez/MAR Dennis Hopper Mural -
When Madsteez was approached by MAR to paint a collaborative mural in Venice Beach, Madsteez had only one person in mind: Dennis Hopper. Back in December 2006, Madsteez had created a portrait that Hopper posed for, and the two developed a relationship. It seems fitting that one of the most well known, well loved residents of Venice Beach received such a fitting tribute. Or as an older gentleman stated to Madsteez and MAR as they were painting the mural: “It’s about time.”
